“Want a trip of a lifetime? Definitely go on an African Safari! We have been on 3 safari trips to South Africa in 2012, 2016 & 2018. We had the good fortune to meet and be guided by Francois Fourie on our first trip and insisted on having him as our guide for the next two.
He is so knowledgeable, likable, fun and all around awesome guy. He brought us so many unbelievable and unexpected experiences out in the bush. Francois had the uncanny ability to find 9 leopards for us to view, up close and personal, in just 4 days. 4 of those were on our last day, and 3 of those leopards were fighting.
What a sight that was. One morning Francois found the most beautiful big male lion that we tracked, which led us to his mate with 3 cute little cubs. What a great time we had watching them play. We saw hippos fighting, giraffes mating, elephants and their babies, and the Big 5 every day, just to name a few of the many amazing sights we saw. Oh, I can’t forget to mention the sunsets in the bush are some of the beautiful you will ever see.

“Mana Pools is a place where the beauty of nature truly becomes magical. Being on foot for the first time, coming face to face (at a respectful distance) with elephants, lions, hyenas, wild dogs and more is undeniably exciting. It is thrilling, yet at no moment did we feel unsafe.
Spending time walking near an elephant bull, sensing that he appreciated our presence while we respected his, was incredibly special. Experiences like this are rare and unforgettable. This was without a doubt one of the most beautiful and pure safari experiences we have ever had.
The guides are beyond excellent (both the local guides, who seem to speak the language of the animals, and our photography guide Francois). He takes all the time you need, whether it is explaining camera settings, helping you take better photos, guiding you through editing your RAW images afterward or simply enjoying a relaxed beer together.
We arrived as strangers and left Mana Pools as friends, with memories that will stay with us for a lifetime. Highly recommended and definitely not the last time with Francois!”
