Location and Lodging

This extraordinary safari unfolds across two of Africa’s most celebrated private reserves — Mala Mala and Lion Sands, both forming part of the legendary Greater Kruger National Park. These pristine wilderness areas are world-renowned for their exceptional predator viewing, offering unrivaled encounters with lions, leopards, cheetahs, and wild dogs. What sets these reserves apart is their prime river frontage: at Lion Sands, the Sabie and Sand Rivers flow side by side, drawing an incredible diversity of wildlife to their banks, while MalaMala boasts the iconic Sand River winding through its heart, acting as a lifeline that sustains game year-round. This unique riverine habitat not only creates spectacular scenery but also serves as a stage where predator and prey interactions play out daily, giving guests a front-row seat to some of the most dramatic wildlife moments on the continent.
